On the bare rocks of freedom,
There is some mighty strength,
And pureness and wisdom,
Are spreading in your head.

On the highest rocks of baldness,
You’re stepping on the peak,
Moss is all, but, that is living,
Somewhere bellow your feet.

And above your prudent forehead,
The biggest scenery is skies,
And beneath you is the kingdom
Of mud, and dust, and flies.

On the bare rocks of freedom,
You see the forest filthy,
And in it lives the shabby kingdom
Of beasts, and blood and drifters.

But while standing on the bare rocks, my dear,
Enjoy the company that brown moss brings,
For within the lowest shabby kingdom,
What is bred at best is life among the other things.
